چکیده

Abstract The therapeutical applications of ornamental plants have been categorized to be a great effectiveness in multiple industries from ancient times until present days. Pluchea dioscoridis is widely known Egyptian wooden plant that has extensively applied for different medicinal purposes. In this study, LC-ESI-MS/MS analysis the potent antimicrobial ethyl acetate and n -butanol extracts P. leaves led identification 28 21 compounds, respectively. identified compounds were as phenolic acids, acids derivatives, organic flavonoids (aglycones glycosides), secoiridoids, coumarin gallotannins derivatives. Among them, caffeic acid 3-sulfate was most predominate investigated followed by ferulic dicaffeoyl-quinic acid. Also, potentiality evaluated against pathogenic microbes including Enterobacter cloacae , Micrococcus leutus Aeromonas hydrophila Bacillus subtilis cereus lichneformis Clostridium sp ecies. Furthermore, concentrations extract assayed antibacterial efficacy on growth curve kinetics susceptible bacteria along 4days incubation period. Our gathered data confirmed that, activity tested according solvent used extraction process. Mostly, all showed wide spectrum except water which shows mild sp. only. Based highest inhibition zone diameter, butanol exhibited with luteus B. (20.0 18.5 mm) Determining effect at concentration (0, 0.66, 1.66, 3.33, 6.67, 13.34 20.01 mg mL −1 ) M. kinetics, assured dependent manner culture. also none selected bactericidal prepared cultures, prolonged period acquire resistance beginning second or third day incubation.

postnatal studies of bats (pipistrellus kuhlii and miniopterus schreibersii) & histomorphology and histochemistry studies of organs and diseases of (neurergus microspilotus and n. kaiseri)

1. to determine whether difference in birth body mass influenced growth performance in pipistrellus kuhlii we studied a total of 12 captive-born neonates. bats were assigned to two body mass groups: light birth body mass (lbw: 0.89 ± 0.05, n=8) and heavy birth body mass (hbw: 1.35 ± 0.08, n=4). heavier body mass at birth was associated with rapid postnatal growth (body mass and forearm length) ...

ANTIMICROBIAL, ANTIOXIDANT AND ANTIBIOFILM ACTIVITY OF EXTRACTS OF MELILOTUS OFFICINALIS (L.) Pall

In this paper, the antioxidant and antimicrobial activity, the concentrations of total phenols, flavonoids, tannins and proanthocyanidins in the water, acetone, diethyl ether and ethanol extracts of Melilotus officinalis L. were analysed and their effect on the bacterial biofilm formation. The highest concentration of total phenols (36.25 mgGA/g) and tannins (21.25 mgGA/g) were detected in the ...

Lactulose:Mannitol Diagnostic Test by HPLC and LC-MSMS Platforms: Considerations for Field Studies of Intestinal Barrier Function and Environmental Enteropathy

OBJECTIVES The lactulose:mannitol (L:M) diagnostic test is frequently used in field studies of environmental enteropathy (EE); however, heterogeneity in test administration and disaccharide measurement has limited the comparison of results between studies and populations. We aim to assess the agreement between L:M measurement between high-performance liquid chromatography with pulsed amperometr...
